The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) works to make sure that consumers have the information they need to make the best financial decisions for themselves and their families. If you’re looking for more information about the CFPB, visit consumerfinance.gov. Our mission is to make markets for consumer financial products and services work for Americans – whether they are applying for a mortgage, choosing between credit cards, paying for college, or using other consumer financial products.

The Office of Servicemember Affairs

The Office of Servicemember Affairs (OSA) ensures that military personnel and their families have a voice at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

  • We monitor military consumer complaints and the resolution of those complaints.
  • We work with federal, state, and local partners to address the financial concerns of servicemembers, veterans, and their families.
  • We provide servicemembers, military families, and veterans with the information and tools to make the best financial decisions for themselves and to avoid unfair financial business practices.

Visit consumerfinance.gov/servicemembers for more information on our work.
